Real Fight Breakdowns:
Using Chokes as a Defensive Tool
2014 - 2021 ngaexperience.com
When you secure a choke on uke, you pretty much end the fight.
Generally speaking, Uke has about 6 seconds to “pick the lock” and escape once a choke is applied.
That said, in a real fight, it might not even be that long ~ as uke’s heart rate will be elevated.
Observe how nage remains patient once the choke is secure. Keep that in mind ~ once the choke is locked down, there is a bit of “brew time” before uke goes down.
Also ~ note the arm flinging right before unconsciousness. This is sheer panic and fear.
